I have some shortcuts to universal applications in various folders and when I try to view them the lister freezes. I tried removing the shortcuts using Windows Explorer and then Directory Opus was able to read the folders without freezing.
Does any UI appear while it's happening, maybe behind other windows? Or does it say "resolving shortcuts" while that's happening?
What's an example shortcut/app that causes the problem which we can test with?
I tried with my Start Menu shortcuts and didn't see any freeze, FWIW.
Could you also make some process snapshots during the freeze and send them to us?
Since I installed 13.16.2 beta the problem seems to have gone away but it was happening with shortcuts in my start menu (I use Start11 not the windows start menu) and would happen even when browsing from an already open lister, I will keep an eye out though because there was a time when it didn't happen, then it did now it doesn't. The two shortcuts in particular were to the Splice desktop app and SOUND FORGE Audio Studio 14 (x64). I think that I may have to write it off as some kind of abberation as I can no longer reproduce my own problem
