Lister Viewer Pane: MS Word Crash

When I open the Lister Viewer Pane to preview files, MS Word and Excel 2007 often crash (close).

I'm using the latest version of Opus 9 (9.1.1.8.3357.x86), Office 2007, and Vista OS.

How can I stop Word and Excel from crashing?

Does the same thing happen if you view the same files in Explorer's preview pane?

On Vista, and with Office 2007, Opus and Explorer use more-or-less the same viewing system for Office files by default.

Haven't tried Explorer since I have Opus 9 as my default service. Since the crash occurs intermittently, I'd have to test it a while before I can answer you. It's surprising that no one has raised this issue earlier (I checked FAQ), so I wonder what's different in my system.

I'll try using Windows Explorer and get back to you.

I reported this in an email to GP soft but they weren't able to reproduce the bug. The only solution I found was to turn the previewing off for .doc extensions.

Thanks for following up, Ray. I haven't had the problem recently. I'll try to get more details if and when it happens again.
