If you use that little arrow in the location bar, to get a menu of a folders content and then right click an item to open it's context menu, the first opened drop down menu won't go away anymore. Clicking the lister in the background or something else does not help. The menu then even covers the browser window I post this from. o)
I noticed this since the location bar has that feature, it is especially irritating if the drop down is filling the complete vertical screen space and covers the location bar almost completly. To get the menu to close, you need hover your mouse over something that's still visible in the location bar and not covered by the sticky dropdown, which is tricky from time to time (visibly not much left from the bar) and not comprehensible as other dropdowns from that bar then open without clicking.
That's really working nicely in your video! o) But not here, strange. I now managed to get two of these sticky dropdowns.
Here it always just closes the context menu, the initial dropdown stays open for some reason. I tried to disable some toolbars and switching horziontal/dual or use single mode to no avail.
You're running something that puts extra buttons in the window caption - maybe that's involved. Can you try turning it off and see if it makes a difference?
I now closed all additional tools, apps (despite my browser) and processes I could think of, exited DO and restarted it, but the dropdown is still sticky if the context menu of an entry has been opened.
I also played with some settings for the file display border but that did not help either, worth a try though. o) And for what this is worth, DO behaves as expected in all other circumstances, and I don't have GUI issues in other applications.
Isn't this menu technically more or less the same as for the favourites menu? I can open this, open a context menu of a favourite folder and then click somewhere else to get rid of both, it's working flawlessly there at least. If there's something else I shall try, let me know. Thank you!
