Is there a way to make the LIST viewer longer, so it can see the whole long filename?

Not sure what you mean here. List view shows the full filename as far as I can see - can you post a screenshot showing us what you mean ?

You can set the "autosize" option in the folder options, or assign following code to a button or hotkey:
Set AUTOSIZECOLUMNS
