I'm using Windows XP Service Pack 2 with DOpus 9.1.0.3 32 bit version. I would like to know the upper limit for folder size before I continue using certain folders I use from within DOpus. I think it would be helpful if we had this information. It would help prevent any data corruption issues or even DOpus crashes. I haven't experienced any crashes on this point...but even then it helps to be "prepared" for any such eventualities. So...anybody know the upper directory size limit for any one directory created in DOpus? Thanks.
The limit is probably whatever the operating system or filesystem limit is.
I've used Opus in folders with over 100,000 files in them so you shouldn't have any problems, although I wouldn't recommend storing that many files in one directory for many reasons if you can avoid it, not least of which is that it takes ages for the filesystem to return the directory listing.

In terms of gigabytes or terabytes...how many would one folder hold for DOpus without freezing or crashing. I've got about 10 gig of MP3 files in one folder. It's worrying me some not to know the limit and how safe it is to store all this in one directory.
It's the number of files that would matter (and as Leo said, you would need an awful lot of them to cause a problem), not the total size of those files. It's not like Opus reads them all into memory when you view a directory
