This isn't a big deal for me -- just letting you know...
In toolbar customize mode, create a Menu Button, right-click the Menu Button and click "Hold or Right-Click to Drop Down".
Edit the Menu Button and give it some command to run.
Exit toolbar customize mode.
Resize the lister smaller so that the Menu Button is not visible
Two small arrows appear - which you now must click on to access the Menu Button. Click those arrows and then left-click the Menu Button -- nothing happens.
