Hi, folks. I discovered the Metadata panel in Directory Opus 11 today. Any chance of putting DLL properties in there? I'm interested in the properties of a DLL which show in the DLL's Properties box, in its "Details" tab. Pic attached of a randomly chosen Windows DLL showing this tab.
For me, managing software development projects and thus juggling DLLs a lot, it'd be nice sometimes to be able to see this data without having to go into the file's Properties box. I could putt the display of the Metadata tab on a toggle button and get it on/off with a single click, which would be very nice.
Thanks, Leo. I know about those columns. I don't use them for this because they require so much horizontal real estate. And I only need them occasionally so I need something I can toggle on/off with ease (low friction). Having the data presented vertically (the way the Metadata pane does it) would be usable for me.
The metadata panel is mainly for data that can be edited, more than a viewer for read-only data (although there is some r/o data in it, so it's not absolute).
A viewer plugin or preview handler could show similar data for DLL files in the viewer pane, but one would probably have to be written unless there's already a preview handler out there. (QuickView Plus may do it, but I'm not sure what it shows for DLLs off the top of my head.)
