Microsoft overrules settings for Default File Manager in Prefrences

image

With one of my computers I have the problem that W10 does not want to use Dopus File Manager when I start it in a directory (for example). I use the recommended settings. Does this have anything to do with a new Microsoft program that will let you change this default setting?
Thanks and best regards, Robert

We're not aware of Microsoft/Windows causing any issues like that recently.

If Explorer Replacement isn't working, you can sometimes fix it by selecting "Don't replace Explorer", clicking Apply, then going back to the recommended setting and clicking Apply again. (This makes Opus re-write the relevant registry settings.)

Another thing to check is that none of the Windows Compatibility Settings have been turned on for Opus. (If Opus thinks it's running on an older version of Windows then it might use Explorer Replacement methods which don't work on newer Windows versions.)

Sorry, but nothing works. I have another computer with W10 and on that one everything works fine. I looked at the settings, but they are all the same. Please have a look here:

But this story goes "too deep" for me.

Thanks and best regards, Robert.
