As shown below, I have many icons disappearing! Any ideas why?
I have tried the ClearIconCache utility from another post, but with no luck. I have unchecked the 'Generic icons' option as mentioned in other posts.
Any help appreciated, thanks.

What does Explorer show for the same folders?
Explorer is okay.
Strange thing is that when clicking on a folder, the icons appear momentarily in the file list window, then disappear.
If you still see it after ClearIconCache + rebooting, then it's most likely triggered by a shell extension that modifies the icons or overlays in some way.
Seems similar to this thread: Weird icons overlay which seemed (at least on the face of it) triggered by the Gladinet shell extension.
You know what I didn't do... reboot! I have now and it looks okay. If it happens again, I will try the suggestions in the other post.

Oh well, that was short lived. The first set of icons came up, then I clicked the window and they all disappeared! Will look at the other post.
