More configurable "Sort shortcuts to folders like folders": per dir / non-blocking

I like the "Preferences / Filtering and Sorting / Sorting / Sort shortcuts to folders like folders" option, and it usually causes no visible issues.

But for some folders with a lot of shortcuts, it blocks the initial rendering and shows up a lot of "Resolving shortcut..."
I'd like to be able to avoid that slowdown, and think these 2 customizations could help:

  • allow disabling this kind of sorting per folder so I can add a few folders with a lot of shortcuts to the exception list (they anyway don't have any shortcuts to folders, so this practially won't have any downsides)
  • allow doing this sorting in a non-blocking way per folder (maybe even globally?) so that DOpus shows the list as is and then reads the info in the background and shifts the layout if needed to move shortcuts to folders to the top. Yes, layout shift is bad, but in some cases is better than waiting and seeing nothing for a few extra seconds

P.S.
By the way, maybe another option that could help with slow link resolution network drives is to skip it for network drives?
