I would like to upgrade from Opus 10 to Opus 11, but I want to transfer all my preferences and settings. I triad this a couple of years ago using backup and restore but it didn't work. Is there a better solution for this now?

Backup & restore should work, and it should also happen automatically if you install 11 over the top of 10 (without uninstalling first, which would wipe the config).
If aspects of it failed, there may be reasons or workarounds, or fixes in more recent versions, but we'd need to know specifics to advise.
