Multiple Sessions + restore + Buttons for recent

Hi
Long time user (since v8 first came out) and love Opus. Thank you for for making the BEST file browser in ANY OS so far!!!!

So...
Been making some custom toolbars finally, and ran into a few things I don't know how to do.

1)Toolbars that sit to the left of the field that ONLY effect that field I like3 panes, dual-vertical with one folder tree, the other closed... So, if I click button on the toolbar next to that field, it ONLY effects that field, so the TOOLBAR makes the field, or the BUTTONS in it, make that field active BEFORE running the button's command? How or even IS this possible?

2) Sometimes I have 3-4 or even 5 (multiple session/instances restore option) of opus open at once, and I want to shut down or restart, and want to have my sessions all open up again. How would I do this? Short of that...

3) Buttons for a sort of "favorites" that restore, say, the last 3-10 browser versions I closed (meaning, every time I close opus, it saves that last session, and adds it to a menu I could make, triggerable with buttons...sort of a "restore last session #3, #4, #...#9 -etc).

I hope I am presenting this using the correct terminology commonly used to refer to these functions (field, session, instances, favorites, etc)!

Thanks so much for the help!

Please, only one question per post!

  1. What do you mean by »field«? Do you mean, what we refer to as a »lister«? That thing with usually two panes & toolbars?
  2. The closest might be, if you go into options -> preferences -> Opus start -> autostart & chose the fifth checkbox from the top,
that should read something like »open last used lister«. If you have several instances open (that would be a »layout«), they should be restored.
  3. i'm not sure, if this is possible to the extent of your request. Layouts may be the closest thing, but you have to save them manually. You can save a layout
in options -> lister layouts -> save this layout.

Original post refers to a dual vertical lister with one folder tree.

I'm guessing but it looks to me like the folder tree and each of the vertical panes is regarded as a "field" in the terms of the original post.

Well, this partially helped.
I have not been able to find an "options" anywhere, though under "settings" I can find a "preferences" and such and navigate there.
I'm limited on time, but the correct terminology will help, thank you for that, so I will rephrase the questions as soon as I can.

be back soon...
