My computer died, can I retrieve config file...?

Hi there,

Help

My laptop died and I have been given a backup of all my files...

Is it possible to retrieve my config file with all my setup in it...?

Any help would be truly appreciated

Warmest regards,
Charles

I think you are fine if you find the following folders:

/dopusdata
/dopusglobaldata
/dopuslocaldata

Or without Opus:

%appdata%\GPSoftware\Directory Opus
%allusersprofile%\GPSoftware\Directory Opus
%localappdata%\GPSoftware\Directory Opus

Opus backup files have the .ocb extension.

Hi Leo,

Is it possible to automate of schedule regular backups...?

Kind regards,
Charles

The easiest thing to do is backup those folders periodically. (And/or the whole user profile folder, since it will contain settings for other apps you might also want to backup.)

Backup tools that let you add folders, or which backup the whole system drive, will have you covered.

You can also set up a toolbar button which makes a new Opus-only backup when you click it, if you want to streamline things a bit.

Or there is this add-in which automatically creates backups:
