My Documents vs. Documents

As of a couple of months ago I used to use the find as you type feature to go into "My Documents" by just typing "documents". Even though the actual folder was labeled "My Documents" it seemed that Directory Opus would find it only when I typed "documents" and would not find it if I included the "my" prefix.

At first I found this odd and confusing, but then once I got used to it I began to really enjoy it as it would usually find my folder by the time that I typed "doc". Now, it seems that it will only go to that folder if I include the "my" in front of documents which takes more key presses and is annoying because there are tons of "my" prefixed folders in my user directory.

Is this a configurable option so that I can revert and go back to the old way of find as you type? Is this something that Directory Opus expressly changed? Or is it something that was caused by Windows 7 that is just affecting Directory Opus?

Did you have Preferences / Folders / Folder Display / Display localized folder names (Vista and above) turned off before and on now? That may account for the difference.

I don't ever remember changing that or doing anything with that particular setting, but it definitely was turned on when I just checked. And turning it off completely fixes my problem.

Thanks Leo!

Don't forget the alias system lets you assign your own "shortcuts" to things, e.g. by default you can type /myd and Opus will auto-complete this to /mydocuments but you could add your own alias to make it even shorter.
