My mistake: installed 64bit version on 32bit system

Hi,
I`ve done something stupid:
By mistake, I installed the 64bit version (installer) on a 32bit system (Windows 7).
Now, can I just install the 32bit version right over the existing (64bit) DOpus?
Or can some damage to the system be done already?
So far, everything works fine with the 64bit installment ...
Regards,
Jens

I don't think, that this can do any damage, since it most likely won't even work. But why don't you
uninstall the wrong version before installingt the proper 32-bit version? Installing over it seems
not to be a good idea.

That's impossible. The installer should not let you. If the installer did somehow let you then the program certainly wouldn't work because 32-bit Windows physically cannot run 64-bit programs.

You've either installed the 32-bit version on 32-bit Windows (i.e. you're mistaken that it was the 64-bit version of Opus, so everything is fine) or you've installed the 64-bit version and you are running 64-bit Windows and had not realised it (so everything is fine, too).

Plenty of new machines ship with 64-bit Windows by default these days. Maybe you just hadn't noticed that's what you had?
