When I view the Picture Library I would like it to always view in "thumbnail" as default instead of setting that every time I go to Pictures and then setting it back to "Details" when I leave. I am sorry if this sounds stupid, but I have been searching and reading for over an hour and can't figure out how. I did not select to use Directory Opus as default over Windows Explorer which may be why I am not finding this settings which should be pretty easy like it is in Windows where you simply hit "Properties" and change it.
To do this, go to your Pictures library and turn on thumbnails mode, then open Folder Options:
From the Folder Options window, click Save near the top and select For This Folder and All Sub-Folders.
Also, if you ever need to review which folders you have saved custom formats for, you can do that under Settings / Preferences / Folders / Folder Formats, in the Path Formats section at the top. (You can also create the format via there, but it's more work than the method I described above.)
Thank you so much! I just knew it was something easy and I was just missing it (which can happen, but yes I am feeling pretty stupid right about now.) I was mostly looking in Preferences, but really, I must have checked everywhere but there.
Thanks so much things will be far easier now
If I need anything else I will come here and post as I have never been very good at "directions" or "user manuals."
