Nero 8 Commandline

Nero 8 Commandline

Does it still work with the Opus toolbar?

The easiest way to check is to compare the Nero 7 and 8 command line arguments to see if any have been added or removed. If not then it should work. Otherwise, check what each of the buttons on the toolbar runs to see if it depends on arguments which have changed.

The buttons in the Nero toolbar are all very simple so it's not difficult to work out what it's doing.

nero 8 paths are all different from those of nero 7 - there is neither a /Core dir nor a NeroCmd.exe file.

can someone help me with the correct command line paths to use with Neropus Toolbar?

many thanks,

At least with Nero 6 and 7 you had to download the Nero SDK to get NeroCmd.exe.

The Nero 7 SDK is here but I doubt that will work with Nero 8. Changing the 7 to an 8 in that URL doesn't work but maybe the Nero 8 SDK is somewhere else on their site, or not released yet, or not needed anymore.

By the way, none of the forum regulars here (that I know of) use Nero anymore so you may be better off asking at the Nero forums unless the question is about how to get Opus to run a particular command.

I have Nero 7. I also have NeroCmd.exe in C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core . While I assume NeroCmd.exe was put there when installing (or updating) Nero 7, I admit that I can't say with absolute certainty how I got NeroCmd.exe, but I'm fairly confident that I never downloaded any SDK.

The NeroCmd.exe is in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\Lib

I have noch SDK installed. Only the Nero8 install.

So for anyone still wondering, you can copy the NerOpus.dop file in the /dopusdata/buttons folder to some other filename (say NerOpus8.dop) and then open the file in a text editor and search and replace all the old paths to the NeroCmd.exe file with the 'new' path...

But it's still calls for comparing command line args and such between older versions and the new versions to say whether or not all the buttons will work as is without other modifications...

How do I burn with a larger disc with Nero? I want to burn a movie that's around 700mb and my disc will take over 800mb. However, Nero is not recognising that I have a larger disc (dual layer) and is wanting to compress the file which may give me a reduced quality. Is there a setting I can use to get Nero to accept the larger, dual layer disc?

You can run the Nero command-line tool to get a list of all the arguments/settings it accepts. (I don't have it installed myself.)

If you're stuck with Nero in general, and can't find the switch in its help, try Nero's support website I guess, unless someone here happens to know the answer.

Sorry to go offtopic.

Zion. Could you check your pm. Ive sent you a pm a while back and last week too but it's still in my outbox. Meaning you haven't opened it yet. Please. I have some questions.
