The new update to Directory Opus has relocated a number of folders from where I had created them to totally different locations. I don' t know how many have been moved since I just open Directory Opus and couldn't fine a key folder!!!!!
What folders are you talking about?
What version did you upgrade from?
Opus doesn't randomly move folders around, but it's possible things might be displayed slightly differently in the tree if you've e.g. just gone from 12 to 13.
I upgraded from 13.11.6 to 13.12
Here is an image of my tree. The Downloads folder on my Desktop, wound up in my Projects 3 folder, in a subfolder. there are about 300 folders in Project 3 and each folder has subfolders. The only way that I found my Downloads folder was to search for a file that I knew was in there.
I also went to another subfolder in Projects 3 that I am currently working on and found a completely random folder that belongs somewhere else. Now I am not sure how widespread the problem is.
What makes you think Opus caused this?
File Explorer will show everything in the same place Opus does. That doesn’t mean either program is what moved things around.
Opus only moves folders if you tell it to.
You could open your utility panel (Set UTILITY=Toggle), and depending on your settings (it may be turned off), look into the file protocol, which is in the upper left dropdown menu. It gives you a hint, if you maybe inadvertently moved a folder. It's worth a try.
