NEWTAB=findexisting

Hi guys,

I regularly have to set up folders for specific projects. To accomplish this I create a new menu button, then drag and drop the desired folders into it.

Each folder has the following function:

Go "C:\Users\Steve\Documents\3ds Max Project Folder\archives"
Go "C:\Users\Steve\Documents\3ds Max Project Folder\autoback"
Go "C:\Users\Steve\Documents\3ds Max Project Folder\export" etc

There are a total of 13 folders for each project. This method works fine but is there a way to create the same menu button but with the following function instead:

Go "C:\Users\Steve\Documents\3ds Max Project Folder\archives" NEWTAB=findexisting
Go "C:\Users\Steve\Documents\3ds Max Project Folder\autoback" NEWTAB=findexisting
Go "C:\Users\Steve\Documents\3ds Max Project Folder\export" NEWTAB=findexisting

Currently I manually add "NEWTAB=findexisting" to the end of each function which is a PITA and time consuming.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

Roly

Is it always the same sub-folders?

If so, copy one of the existing menus to the clipboard (right-click, copy), paste into a text editor, search & replace on the path, then paste that back to the toolbar.

Yeah, always the same project folders. I never realised I could copy/paste this way. Awesome, this makes things a lot easier. Thanks Leo.
