I have been customizing my context menus, using the SETTINGS | FILE TYPES menu system. I screwed something up in the process, and now when I click that main menu item, nothing happens.
I think what did this was deleting the "Open in Directory Opus" item in the Folder object under System File Types. (It seemed to be a redundant item that cluttered the context menu.)
Any idea how I can restore functionality of the SETTINGS | FILE TYPES command?
Try turning off Explorer Replacement mode, via Preferences, then OK the dialog and go back in and turn it back on again. I think that will recreate the Open in Directory Opus items. Not sure why it would affect the File Type editor, though.
Type Explorer in the Preferences filter to quickly find the relevant page.
I had File Type window already open, but didn't notice it's icon in the tray. Only one can be opened, and repeating the command didn't transfer to the open one. (Obviously a separate execution thread from the lister thread.)
