No epub Thumbnail?

Today i have seen epub Thumbnails for managing in DO.
After double klick on epub a window will opened and tell mi open with the i choose Calibe ebook viewer.
Now all files will be connected with Calibe ebook viever and see the icon from calibe in the thumbnail list in DO. how i can get the thumbnails again in DO.

I have installed the CBX Handler Script and it will not work too!

Thanks

It's up to the epub software you have installed.

Opus should show the same thumbnails for those files that File Explorer does. If a thumbnailer for epub files is installed and working then it should work in both Opus and File Explorer.

If it's not working in File Explorer either, contact the vendor of the epub software for support. (Reinstalling the software or making it the default handler may also fix things. It's possible you have multiple epub programs and the one that was the handler for the file format before Calibre took over the extension was the one which had the thumbnailer. But I can only guess, as this is all a question of software outside of Opus itself, and depends what you have installed on your machine to handle epub files.)

I will deinstall Calibre and show that is going right as before.
Is there an other easy was to make thumbnails and display in the viewer?

Thanks

It depends on the epub software. You may be able to change the viewer via the ActiveX plugin configuration in Opus, but it depends how the two pieces of epub software you’re using interact with each other’s registry settings and which types of viewers and thumbnailers they install.

The people who make the epub software can probably advise you on how it works better than I can.

I found this and its working brilliantly for me so far:

DarkThumbs

Adds thumbnail preview to Windows Explorer for EPUB, FB2 and Kindle ebooks; CBZ, CBR, RAR and ZIP archives.

Supported formats:

  • EPUB
  • FB2
  • Kindle (MOBI, AZW, AZW3)
  • CBZ
  • CBR
  • RAR
  • ZIP

All I had to do was download the installer from the Releases section. Install. Then check the boxes off for whatever file types I want it to generate a thumbnail of in the Directory Opus Viewer. Just make sure Preferences > Viewer > Viewer Pane > Display shell thumbnails is enabled.

You can leave your shell to 'Open With' your EPUB's using whatever program you like to read through the pages, so in your case Calibre, while still having the cover display in Opus Viewer.
