When I have a zip (or rar) of a multi-level folder (i.e. a folder containing several sub-folders arranged in multiple levels), I cannot open it by double click. When double clicked, the zip (or rar) file shows only the top folder - to see the rest of the folders contained in the compressed archive I have to use the context menu (by clicking 'open' on every sub-folder)! Have I messed something in settings? Please advise!
Have you modified your double-click filetype events at all?
I'm not sure, but please clarify exactly where to look and what to change! Thanks!
Settings > File Types, then most likely either All Folders or All Files And Folders, and the Double-Click events in both.
Settings > File Types > All Files And Folders > Edit > Events > Left Double Click - it says 'not defined'. The same value ('not defined') in Settings > File Types > All Files > Edit > Events > Left Double Click while in Settings > File Types > All Folders > Edit > Events > Left Double Click it says 'go'. If I use 'go' in 'All Files And Folders' nothing happens! What now?
PS The zip is a backup file created by a backup program (Double Safety) - it contains the whole backup tree (i.e. c:\users\user\appdata\local.... etc.). When double clicked, Dopus opens only the top (c:) part - to open the remaining folders I have to sequentially click 'open' in the context menu and then one by one all folders are opened - with winrar everything opens by double clicking on the folder names!
If it only happens in 12.6.3 beta, and not for all folders in zips (only for some zips or some folders in some zips), then we've found & fixed the problem for the next update:
