Open existing tab instead of new one

How to make it so that when i try to open a new tab from folder tree or from within a folder etc
it selects the tab if it exists like Go TABFINDEXISTING
instead of just opening a duplicate tab

Go NEWTAB=findexisting

thank you so much. Also why does
ctrl + middle click and ctrl+left click
have different commands but do same thing when i checked

Please also give more detail. What are you clicking? What are the commands? What are the effects? What do you expect to happen instead?

ok i will make a new one for that
i have an another question for this thread
how to make it so that it opens existing tab if i double click on folder that is already a tab

Double click on folders shown where?

Folders are shown in a lot of different ways and places in Opus.

Settings for the Folder Tree and File Display are independent, as an example. Selecting from the Favorites menu may do a third thing, depending on how it’s configured, and so on.

suppose i am in D:\Downloads
and there is a already a tab with D:\Downloads\Video
So when i double click in "Video" folder in downloads
instead of opening it in that tab, how to make it find the existing tab of "Video"
