With some specific tools one can view the thumbcache .db files in the
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer folder.
Tools like: Thumbcache_viewer_64 or Thumbs_viewer_64
Often, for privacy reasons, it is recommended to remove those files.
I tried to use those tools to check whether the Opus .db files could be viewed, without success.
Vainly searched for a previous thread on 'privacy' and thumbnail cache.
Question: Can they be viewed, one way or the other?
Thanks. No, I just meant 'readily available' tools.
Frankly, I don't know of any other thumbnail viewer than the above ones.
Within Opus I think it is not possible to view those .db files: image view show the large/small gear.
Anyway, thanks again.
Yeah, they're in a custom format, but it's not encrypted or anything like that. I doubt any viewer exists, but if someone really wanted to they could make one.
Nothing in Opus itself will view them, except displaying thumbnails when viewing the same folder in Opus.
