I running Windows 7, 64 bit and Opus 10.2.0.0 (4645) x64 and received an update notification which I installed. Upon reboot, about half my desktop icons were missing. I rebooted again and they were still missing. Then did a system restore and the icons are back. ???
It was probably something else that happened when you rebooted. Opus & its installer shouldn't have any interest in any desktop icons other than the one to launch Opus.
