Yesterday I installed TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 Build 19260 - 64 Bit.
Since then the overlay icons don't show anymore in DO 9.5.3.
Anyone else with the same problem?
How do I solve this inconvenience?

I enabled generic icons only for network and removable drives. I'm viewing a local drive.
Also the Tortoise settings are as you advised in your answer.
Still no icons. I noted overlay icons on other places, so it might not be a generic thing.
Any more suggestions?
Do they show up in Explorer?
Maybe a screenshot will reveal something.
No, they don't show in Explorer either
I noticed the same thing here in both Explorer and Opus (in fact, I'd noticed it before but kept thinking it was a "one off", but now I think about it I haven't seen the overlay icons for ages).
I just went back to Tortoise SVN 1.6.7 and all is well again. Seems like something was broken in 1.6.8 (maybe as part of the changes for Windows 7 in it? dunno).
Apparently re-installing or repair-installing Tortoise SVN 1.6.8 can also fix the icons if they were broken by updating:

Update: Yup, worked for me. I went back to 1.6.8, did a repair of it and all is well.
Hooray, same here. Repair did the trick.
Thanks for finding it out.
