Overlay icons

Hello.

I presume you are aware the problem that Explorer has with overlay icons - their number is very limited (15 or less, if I remember well) and such limitation has not been changed from the beginning of Windows.

The trouble is, every program such as Dropbox or SVN adds its own set of overlay icons, so, the limit is easily reached. When limit is reached, Explorer simply doesn't show newer overlays, even though they appear in the registry.

I was wondering... Could DOpus make its own overlay rendering over icons?

There's no way for Opus to increase the overlay limit without introducing its own API which all the shell extensions would have to be modified to support.

We have an idea which may appear in the future, but that we're not ready to discuss yet, which may provide a good alternative.

Awesome!
