Pathbar: remove padding from Location element

How would I remove the top/bottom padding from the Location subelement of the path bar? The tiny blue lines at the top and bottom of the images, but also whitespace within the Location text itself. Basically I'd like to make the font bigger without making the bar's height bigger, and there is plenty of space for that, it's just a way to be able to use it..,

I right-clicked on the location element in the UI Edit mode and saw a size option, thought that setting everything to 0 would help
driveroot,hidedesktopfolders,hidefavorites,size=0+0+0+0+0 (was 0+0+0+3+3 before) but it didn't
Is there another way?

Preferences / Location Bar / Path Fields / Appearance

I've already used that menu, it doesn't have vertical padding neither for the text within the path fields nor for the path field itself

(also, the left/right padding can't be set to 0)

The padding can’t be removed completely. But we are talking about a couple of pixels at that point,

For the left/right pads, yes, it's a couple of pixels, not ideal, but not that big of a deal

But the vertical padding is a different thing - it wastes way too high a % of the total height on emptiness. Would be much better if I could make the text bigger/more readable without any downsides like making the whole bar bigger. Like, the Favorites or the folder icons are bigger than the text even though it'd be legible even it it were twice as smaller and anyway much less improtant than the text!
