I just updated my Nitro PRO PDF program from 10 to 11, now I can't see the PDF documents in the view pane. I can see a PDF icon, but the document shows up in what I believe is hexadecimal. As a teacher I have hundreds and hundreds of PDF's and being able to view them in the pane was so helpful in creating lessons. Is there a setting I missed? I have Nitro set to be the default PDF program. I really need this back.
Under Preferences / Viewer / Plugins, select the ActiveX + Preview + Office + Web plugin and click Configure.
If it lists any PDF-related Preview Handlers, but they don't have the .pdf extension assigned to them, try adding it.
Failing that, try adding .pdf to the Internet Explorer (32-bit) line (but remember to remove it again if it doesn't work).
If neither works, is PDF viewing working in File Explorer's viewer pane? And does Nitro PDF (or anything else installed on your system) have a PDF preview handler or ActiveX control?
