The title being blank in Reader seems like a problem somewhere.
What happens if you add a title in Reader? Does that show up in Opus, and does editing it in Opus then feed back to Reader, or are the two programs using separate fields entirely?
The Comment field isn't stored in the PDF itself; it's stored in NTFS ADS metadata, since PDF doesn't have such a field internally (at least that Opus knows about).
I already read that the comment is a ADS thing, so I saw your answer coming
Nevertheless, apparently Adobe reader does not allow changing file properties like the title or similar, so I will have to use another PDF editor later today and report back...
OTH, as initially mentioned, editing a PDF's metadata in DO, does only sync the subject and the tags to the document and Adobe reader uses them.
Back...
I've done some tests to see if DO and PDF sync works (without ADS) - and YES it works as expected, so no issue on both sides
Nevertheless, I need your expert advice, Leo!
I've already modified lots of pdf files and added some texts to the description column. Obviously, I've used the wrong metadata/property or whatsoever.
I rather would like to move those texts into the PDF's tag metadata.
Is there a command that does the job or will I've to code a bit?
Thx!
Scripting can do it. I don't know if there's an easier way.
Did it! Just created a small script that does the job
