PDF page counts appear in Explorer, but missing from DOpus

I am running DOpus 13.10 x64 along with PDF-XChange Editor Plus 10.2.1.

Within Windows Explorer, when I add the Pages column to my view, I see page totals for PDF files, as expected (this functionality via PDF-XChange):

But when I add the Pages column to my view within DOpus, there are no values in that column:

Here are a couple of related configuration screenshots:

Thoughts? Thanks!

Check if it's in Preferences / Miscellaneous / Shell Extensions / Blocked.

Crazy-fast response, Leo - thanks.

Indeed it was (unexpectedly) Blocked...

...but even when I Allow it (followed by a quit/restart of DOpus just in case)...

...I have the same issue.

It's probably a different column that needs to be turned on in Preferences / File Display Columns / Shell Properties.

Great guidance, you got me pointed in the right direction. :+1:

I didn't realize there could be more than one "Pages" column display option.

I had initially selected Columns > Documents > Pages (the empty left "Pages" column here).

But I should have selected Columns > Shell > Pages (the populated right "Pages" column here).

All good now - thanks!

Glad it's working! Thanks @lxp as I didn't think of doing it that way.

@bssmith : It might be worth re-blocking the shell extension and checking if things still work without it. If they don't, un-block it again, of course!

(It's blocked by default as it probably isn't needed anymore and sometimes causes a delay when opening folders. Bit more detail just before the 2nd heading (at time of writing) in Shell extensions which are blocked by default )

i have the same settings with PDF-XChange Editor but haven't "Pages" column in Shell submenu. Why? (no blocks are)

Maybe a feature limited to the Plus version?

Did you turn it on in Preferences / File Display Columns / Shell Properties?

yes, that was it... thanx Leo
and yes to Alex ((( the column stayed empty. maybe for Plus only...

@Leo I can report that I still see the PDF page counts as expected, even when the shell extension is blocked. I'll leave it in that blocked state.

Thanks again for your assistance!
