Pin visibility of Quick Access / Favorites to the top

The Home-node (with Quick Access folders) and Favorites-node are at the top of the folder tree. However, my folder tree is never that far up, which makes those nodes kind of worthless because it is more work and time consuming to scroll all the way to the top of the folder tree than to just go to the folder directly.

It would be far more useful if these two particular nodes were always pinned to the top and never scrolled out of view.

My suggestion is a new setting from which the user can select which of the top nodes to pin to the top. When e.g. the Home-node is checked for pinning, it stays at the top. When e.g. the Desktop-node with a very long file tree is scrolled, the scrolling starts beneath the Home-node so the Desktop-node scrolls beneath it, not hiding it or scrolling it out of view.

Didn't know I could/should, but it's linked now!

Many thanks!

To get the Quick Access folders always visible, you can add them to a toolbar or menu.

They should already be part of the default Favorites menu (the star icon above the file display), and you can copy or move that menu item to a top-level toolbar to make them available all the time if you wish.
