Post title without url for easier text selection

I have a common issue with forum post titles being links, which makes it hard to just select&copy text

I wonder - what's the point of these links? The post is already opened, so I can see the link in the url bar. I'd never click on this link since I don't want to navigate to the page I'm already on
If I want to copy the current url, then a more common shortcut to select the url bar and copy there is better

So I only see the poor text selection downside.

Any benefits?

You can hold Alt while selecting text to select text that is part of links, at least in Chrome and most other browsers.

Yes, but that's poorly implemented, for example, this is how much I can drag down with selection (alt pressed) and still not get the selection until the end
1 title

Compared to regular text where the whole thing till the end is selected right away
2 text

And then when you move the pointer just a tiny further and relese, the dumb browser selects not only "Site feedback", but also the whole post!!!
There is no point where you can do this common selection operation which not only works in mos text editing apps, but also within the browser itself!

I can't see any, weird decision on part of the Discourse team.

Complain to the people who make the web browsers or forum software then.

Or to the people who post the content in suboptimal formatting. Why do you add urls to titles? Even with proper implementation, what's the point of requiring a modifier? That's a usability cost... for what benefit?
