I've just done a clean install of DOpus 9 32 bit V 9.5.4.0. When attempting to import preferences from file named user - Opus Config - 01-Dec-2009.ocb it fails every time. I used to have no problems in the past so is there a fix? Previous config back up file from 2007 also fails.
Is Opus able to extract normal zip files on your machine?
It seems to be able to open zip files
Progress Bar shows it is getting to almost 50% restore then stops with message "Restore Failed" Have experimented selecting different check boxes in Restore, but, all lead to same failed result.
If you copy/rename the .ocb file to a .zip file and look inside it, do any of the files have non-English characters in their names (e.g. files named after your saved layouts)?
That caused problems for someone in the past, apparently: "Restore failed"
If it's that, you should be able to rename the files in the zip, rename it back to .ocb and try again.
(Not sure if the issue has been fixed or not yet. There's a big overhaul of the zip code coming...)
Ah, some good clues. Once I renamed it to zip I could manually copy everything over. Seems manual copy failed in my photo collection when it got to two folders with foreign characters in. Bypassed those and copied the rest in without problem. Closed DOpus and relaunched it and now everything is as previous version. Many thanks
