Sometimes I like to apply a star filter after selecting a drive in the tree view. After that I would have to switch to the panel with the folder overview first to apply the start filter in the correct view. If I don't do that, or if the focus is not yet in the panel, all folders in the selected drive are expanded within the tree view (standard function of windows explorer). It should be prevented, if possible, that all folders are expanded at once, because after this action opus freezes in a way, respectively it can no longer be worked with smoothly. Cancel with ESC the process is not possible.
Are you using Numpad * rather than Shift + 8?
(Shift + 8 to open the filter doesn't seem to affect the folder tree.)
I don't have a keyboard with a numpad connected to try it, but you may be able to override what that key does by creating a lister hotkey for it (Settings > Customize Toolbars > Keys).
Exactly, I have always used the number pad * until now. With Shift + 8 (German Shift + 3) it works wonderfully. Thanks for the support.
