Preview pane not showing PDF

No problems before but for whatever reason the preview pane isnt' showing pdf's. I can preview other files, but pdf's get that notice saying that the pdf couldn't be displayed. I have foxit, and uninstalled it and (haven't reinstalled yet) Adobe Pro.

Since the plugin still shows the other documents it shouldn't be the Active X plugin not being accessed, but I don't know what to do.

I don't think that I have any anti malware programs that would effect it. I have Windows Defender and Malwarebytes but they don't have any settings that I would expect to prevent this.

Any trouble shooting suggestions? Am running in both administrator and user modes to make sure. Checked that all firewall settings are allowing it. All the Windows Services for Active X are running.

Same problem in File Explorer, presumably? The PDF viewer isn't actually part of Opus.

PDF software loves to mess up the registry settings of other PDF software. Reinstalling your PDF viewer of choice will usually fix things.

You may also be able to configure the ActiveX+Preview+Office+Web plugin in Opus to repair things (in Opus only; Explorer won't see overrides configured there) if one or more PDF viewers exist on your system but the extension hasn't been assigned to the right one.

I have no idea how to check in file explorer. I have used DOpus so long that I havn't gone into Explorer.

What would I see if it works in Explorer? How do I set it to show?

It's similar to Opus. There's a Preview Pane option in one of its toolbars.

Nope not showing

I had uninstalled Foxit and didn't reset the associations, but I am reinstalling it now. Acrobat Pro isn't what I would automatically use since it automatically resets the pic for editing and can ruin the fonts.

Also I am noticing that the Explorer preview isnt' showing anything from any other docs.
