Well there sure was alot of heat over this matter.
I too was disappointed about the Imageshack thing but there was obviously a good reason...
Am I right in saying this tool is the closest anyone has come to a repalcement?
Is anyone using this?
I am consistently getting a crash when I try...
The best alternative I am using now e.g. to upload this image is via Snagit screencapture software.
Far too many clicks though before you have the url in your clipboard.
So is anyone else having this Imgur upload tool crash problem?
Or is there a better solution on another blog I have failed to find?

Since ImageShack recently broke thousands of forum threads (not just here but everywhere) by deleting all the old, free-hosted images without notice and with no way to get the images back, I'm glad we dropped support for them, on top of the other reasons we already had.
Imgur still seem OK. If you're having problems with a particular Imgur upload tool, it's probably best to report them to the tool's author rather than to this old thread.
Edit: I've moved this into a new thread in the off-topic area, so people can talk about alternative upload tools if you want to.
