I'm getting two pop-up errors or alerts whenever I disconnect my phone after moving files onto it. They are both the same: "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected". I'm using Win11 Pro, btw.
Is there a proper way to disconnect my phone? It doesn't show up as a drive in my task bar, so there's no way for me to "right click" to "Safely remove or disconnect media".
I've tried to find anything that might have this function, but there's absolutely nothing showing. If I have an external drive attached then that'll show up in the task bar Notification Area, but my phone does not.
Oh, I should have pointed out that it's a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with the Type C connection on the phone, and the normal USB connected to the computer. I'm able to browse my phone using Directory Opus, but there's no function to "safely remove" it in the Task Bar Notification area.
I guess even the current phones only use an MTP connection. This protocol doesn't support any "safely remove" routine, AFAIK. You should be able to switch your phone to "charging only" in the connections settings, which will then let the phone disappear from your computer.
