Raw ressource string id appears in Dopus's context menu, but not (or as a legible text) in Explorer

I experience an issue with Dopus's context menu on graphics files (.PNG, .JPG, et similar).

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use Windows 11 ver 22H1 and Directory Opus Pro 12.29 Build 8272 x64 OS 10.0 (B:22621 P:2 T:1) SP 0.0
  2. Create or locate a .PNG file and right-click on it
  3. Find these strangely worded menu entries in the context menu:

OTOH, Win Explorer show a clearly legible right-click context menu:

What happens in File Explorer when you click the item in that menu which displays the full menu?

This:

It looks like the same items are appearing as “ShellCreateVideo” and “ShellEdit” in File Explorer.

While those names aren’t as long as the ones in Opus, they’re still not the correct names, and some internal names for the menu items are being displayed as a fallback after the lookup of the proper names has failed. It’s going wrong in both programs, they just differ on what they show as a fallback.

The underlying issue is that the Windows Photo Viewer installation seems to be damaged on your machine.

Thanks Leo. This really was the issue, it is now resolved!
