Recent Files List Path Truncation and System Tray Issue

Hello everyone,

When I right click the back arrow to view the recent files history the paths are truncated in the drop down list. How can I disable this? I have several paths that show exactly the same in the recent files list but they are different files in different locations. It's useless at the moment.

To make it worse, when you hover a path you see something like this:
Go to Q:\Portable-Software\DirectoryOpus\DOPUS\6

Shouldn't it at least have the full path on hover? The hover tip is of no value at the moment.

Finally, when you double click to open the lister from the system tray the recent files list has been cleared. It should be retained. How can I do that?

Thank you.

Modify the Back list button to

Go BACKLIST="maxwidth=0"

Thanks, but that does not work at all. Now everytime I click into a folder a new folder icon appears on the menu bar and the arrow disappears, so if I click into 6 folders I have 6 folder icons. lol.

The joke is on you. You edited the wrong button.

Hmm, I don't think so as that is the button I'm editing.

Gives me this each time I go into a folder:

30-07-2025_192730

You're editing the top-level Back button, not the menu you get when you long-click or right-click it.

While in Customize mode, (left) click on it to open the menu for editing, then edit the "Back List" item at the top of the menu. It should look like Lxp's screenshot above.

Awesome, thank you, that is now perfect. Thank you both for the help, I'm still finding my way around some of the functionality.

But can I ask, is there anyway to retain the recent history when the lister is opened?

Thank you.

The history is per-tab, so it's always empty for a new tab/window.

There's a separate Recent List which may be what you want. You can normally access that via the dropdown on the right of the path field.

Thanks Leo, I think that should be fine. Thank you.
