I use this over the accelerator keys in the top menu at the moment. It seems not to work in a button, though. When is use the "Recent SHOWICONS" code in a normal button, nothing happens, no menu is opening. It seems to be an "only over menu" type of list. Maybe someone in the forum knows a trick to open it by a arbitrary key combi anyway.
It would be even cooler, to have all those "recent" items opened in a lister, but i don´t think this is currently possible.
I don't think there's a way to make the recent list work if it's put at the top-level. It only gets updated when the menu its in is opened, so if it's not in a menu it gets stuck until something forces an update (e.g. entering & exiting Customize mode).
Some dynamic list-making commands do work on toolbars, though. e.g. "Go DRIVEBUTTONS" has no problems updating when a disk is added/removed. Some definitely don't work, though.
Thanks, Leo. Hopefully it will be possible in future versions. I didn´t find another dynamic command to show the recent list, it surely would be a good idea to have alle "recent" in a dynamic list shown in a collection.
