Remote network disk connect error

Opus itself doesn't store any connection details; it's all handled by Windows.

If you see different results in File Explorer and Opus:

  • Make sure Opus is not running elevated. See Why NOT to run Opus as Administrator under UAC
  • (Similarly, if Opus is being launched under a different user account, it can cause differences. This is very rare, so you'll know if you're doing it.)
  • Try File > Exit Directory Opus (don't just close the window) and then restart it to see if that helps.
  • Antivirus / firewall software may be treating Opus and File Explorer differently.
  • The remote server, if it's not a Windows machine, may have bugs that are triggered when Opus does things which File Explorer doesn't do, e.g. looking for label information or trying to update permissions when copying.
