Removing unwanted titlebar and update icons

After spending a long time tweaking the appearance of Dopus to be exactly as I want I'm struggling to work out how to remove two specific icons. The top left corner seems to come down to a choice between the default dopus icon or the folder icon of the location you're currently in. I know that for the titlebar text you can set a custom string which is how I was able to remove the text but I figured there must be a way to get rid of this icon too to give a clean look.

The other icon I'm struggling to remove is the update one in the bottom right. I've tried turning off updates and any associated checking for updates etc but I dont seem to be able to hide this icon.

Any solutions to these issues would be hugely appreciated :pray:t2:

There's no way to remove the window icon.

The update icon will be there if the update checker has found an update that you haven't installed yet. Just install the update to get rid of it. If the update checker isn't set to look for new versions, the icon won't appear after that.

Thanks for the very speedy response Leo!

I only didnt install the update as it seemed to imply it was a Beta that was available and I didnt fancy the instability now i've got it just how I like it.

Do you think a custom lister icon could be an option to be implemented in a future update? I imagine it would be easy enough to add in a custom option.

Similarly I'd love an option to select a custom icon for Dopus in general that would be reflected in the taskbar and system tray.

If you're on a non-beta version now, you can tell the update checker not to look for beta versions under Preferences / Internet / Updates.

We have no plans to allow completely custom window/application icons.
