I have about 1000 images that I need to rename them new names. Here is an example:
(Image Names) rename to (New Image name)

All the images in the folder may not be in the Excel sheet or all the names in the excel sheet may not match all the images in the folder.
I can copy the list from Excel to a text file.
Is this something you'll need to do often or just a one-off task?
If it's a one-off then it's probably easiest to turn the Excel file into a DOS batch file that does a bunch of renames. Could be done in about 30 seconds using a text editor which has macro playback...
If you want, PM me the Excel file and I'll send back the batch file which you can use to do the renaming.
If it's something you'll need to do often then it should be possible to make a Rename script which makes Opus talk to Excel to get each filename but that would be overkill for a one-off job.
