I wonder if someone could shed some light on this issue. In the list of default commands which can be placed on the toolbar there is one which allows you to rename folders.
Now when I go to rename something on the right hand side window, ie within a folder if I highlight the item and press the button, no problem I get the window up which allows me to rename.
However if I highlight the folder on the right hand side folder tree lisy and hit the rename button, nothing happens. If I drag and drop the right hand folder onto the rename button, then I get the change format up, but not with simply clicking the button.
Is this by default or am I missing something here?
Sorry I just reread what I had posted. I meant the left hand side window folders, ie the main folders, which I cannot rename with the button, not the right
FWIW, Opus does render the folder tree. (You're thinking of how the folders in the tree are enumerated.)
Looks like the Rename command needs a "FROMFOCUS" argument like some of the others. I'm surprised nobody has brought this up before; I guess people usually use the F2 inline rename in the tree instead of the advanced rename dialog.
I've filed a feature request with GPSoft as I expect it'll be easy to add and it makes sense.
