Hi, I'm trying to rename a bunch of files in the one folder, but every time I select them all and right click to rename, it just renames the file under the cursor.
In the help, it appears there should be a rename dialog, but I never, ever, see it, no matter how I try to trigger the rename (context menu, main menu(s), hotkeys (that I can find)).
I haven't changed anything "out of the box", so how the heck do I enable the multi-file rename option? I've looked through the options, but I can't see any "enable multiple file handling" or advanced file renaming, so what am I doing wrong?
The default rename command on the context menu activates inline rename. You can change this if you like by editing the All Files & Folders Filetype. Or, just use the Rename button on the default toolbar.
To quote the eminent sage and self-flagellation junkie, Homer Simpson, D'oh.
Thanks for the pointer, I didn't even see the rename button. I did look at the files and folders option, but it didn't occur to me to add my own (that's absolutely my fault, I'm sorry to ask a similar question again).
Cheers,
