I found a file transfer program, FastCopy, which I've noted performs file transfers with lightening speed compared to other methods. As well, it has the feature, however clunky, to synchronize two folders. FastCopy really shines when copying lots of small files. Plus, one can define the amount of available memory to use in caching files that are read faster than they can be copied.
My request involves an updated algorithm to Opus' synchronize feature to use the direct disk access that FastCopy employs.
I know it might be a big ask, but I can't help feeling that such a performance update would benefit my favourite file management program.
