Resetting all folders, saving tabs

Despite my long association with Dopus (I started using it on the Amiga...) I have only just discovered tabs and I like them in vertical mode. The implementation seems to be pretty complete. I do notice that they don't seem to be retained from lister to lister. I did try to save them to my only default (DanBasicLister), which is a dual-pane layout, but that didn't seem to be effective.

I would like to:

- Change my default lister so that it always puts vertical tabs on the left hand side, even in dual-pane configuration (i.e. both the upper and lower panes have tabs on the left)

- Get all folders to forget their "memory" so that they default to the basic lister when I next open a particular folder, and show said tabs on left.

This may sound like a pretty basic operation but Dopus offers so many possibilities to display listers that it becomes difficult to work out what I have to change in which part of the configuration. The docs are similarly overwhelming. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

TIA,

Dan

If you're using a layout, open the tabs you want and re-save over the layout.

If you're using the Default Lister, use Settings > Set Lister Defaults (or "Set As Default Lister" with older versions' toolbars). There's also an option to auto-save it when the window is closed.

Thank you for this Leo. I think I have mostly got it working. Initially it wasn't working in dual-pane but then I realised that I didn't have my tabs loading. When I appended TABGROUPLOAD it worked fine:

Go "D:" openinright TABGROUPLOAD "DanTabsBasic"

I'm still experimenting with various locking options, but for now I think I'm good.

PS Could somebody please update me to Dopus 13 as I’m still being shown at Dopus 9 in forum posts?

That probably means you have two separate licences (rather than one licence that was upgraded over time).

I've unlinked your account, so you can now re-link it to the Opus 13 licence via https://resource.dopus.com/my/link-opus.
