I use the option of double clicking on the file display background to go to the parent folder. Can I add a command to "Alt Double Click" to take me to the root of the folder no matter how deep I am in the folder structure...?
e.g. c:\Test\Help\Folder\New\
Double Click takes me to c:\Test\Help\Folder
Alt Double Click takes me to: c:\
Create a User-defined Command in the Customize dialog -> Commands tab, and make it run the following commands (or something similar):
@keydown:none
go back up
@keydown:alt
go root
Then in Prefs... go to the File Displays->Options page and switch the Double-click on file display background option to use the Run a defined User Command option, with the new user command you just created above. Not sure why the go root command is mis-behaving for abr... works here.
Awesome, that works perfectly. GO ROOT worked for me as well. I thought this wasn't going to be possible but once again Opus comes up with the goods. There's seemingly nothing it can't do!
Now, any chance of a button to tune my car engine?
It looks like it works differently on certain locked tabs. On a non locked tab it works as expected, as i found out.
Maybe the base of a locked tab is regarded as the "root" in that case?
No no no! I tried this and if doesn't work. I did this yesterday and the only thing that worked (maybe I shold have used a locked tab but, hey, twas the wife's car) seemed to be
GO /GARAGE EARLY
SetAttr ENG TUNE (FORCE:DO NO HARM AND DO NOT CHANGE THE TIMING BELT AGAIN AFTER ONLY 10K)
GO BACK UP
GO /GARARGE KEYARGS "PAYGARARGE $1500"
