Right Click Context Menu

If I check Miscellaneous>Windows Integration > Hide Windows items in file context menus (shift overrides) then I don't get the full Windows Right Click context menu. In my case I don't get the Link Shell Extension Drop As... sub menu.

If I uncheck Miscellaneous>Windows Integration > Hide Windows items... I get the Windows Right Click menu with the LSE Drop As..

That's true.

Sorry to be pedantic but...

I think that should be 'left click ' - "Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Rename, Properties" is close to what I see on left click
But on right click I see "Copy Here, Move Here, Create Shortcut(s) here and Cancel - which makes a lot of sense

BTW on left click folder I also see "Take the Ownership of this folder" :headscratch:

For me it would be would irrelevant if I could have the same menu's I get in Explorer, as customised by Shelltoys (still awaiting answers on that).

Opus needs more 'opt-outs'. File/folder context menus, folder size, mouse scrolling inactive windows, keep on top in the title bar are all things I would prefer to "turn off and pull the plug on". Not saying they shouldn't be in the product - but they should not be part of the furniture and nailed to the floor

I still don't know what I did to get rid of folder sizes - haven't seen any in a couple of days, so I bought a license, and I think I Linked(ited) it too

I'm not sure what you mean. You don't get context menus when you left-click folders.

I injured my right hand a couple of years ago, so I use mouse with my left hand, and I reversed the mouse buttons. When I try to put things in words left and right get confused - I double compensate. My neurologist has a word for it - I call it spatial dyslexia

But the bottom line is that I cannot get the drag/drop menu I want if I hide Windows context menu's. The shift key does not work on drag drop as maybe it should. It's not even clear to me that the shift key is intended to work in drag drop operations. The documentation appears to be silent on the matter.

This is what I get with drag drop shifted when context menu's are hidden

The Pick Link Source you see is 'whacko' It normally lives in the main context menu,it has no meaning in the drag drop menu. If it was the Drop As... flyout menu then it would make sense. It would mean using the right shift with my left handed mouse, I use left shift with the menu key - Hmmm - more confusion.

If I drag something out of an Opus Lister and drop it in an Explorer window I get a full function Drop As... flyout. I think that means everything is there to make it happen - if the Opus drag drop handler was able to recognise it.

It would be so much easier of there was a preference setting for "Dont do file and folder context menus - let Windows do it".

Sometimes less is more better.

Damn - that 'whacko' Pick Link Source item is inconsistent - sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't on the same source and target

The "Pick Link Source" item appearing in the drop menu, if shift is held down, is another issue with Link Shell Extension.

We'll have a workaround for it in the next version.

Refering to this thread Is it possible to add own entries within the d'n'd-menu? I would like to move specific files with d'n'd but without keeping creation time (which is not the default setting). It would be easier with d'n'd than first opening desired subfolder in dest and after executing non-default move-command.

...ahh, I have found it on my own (filtypes > all folders and files > 3rd menu...). Sorry!
